Our Story: Inspired by Experience, Created for Families

Spindlewing grew from over two decades of professional experience in education, combined with firsthand experience homeschooling children.

Throughout those years, one question continued to emerge:

What if families could study the same subject together without sacrificing the individual educational needs of each child?

Traditional educational resources often separate learning by grade level, requiring parents to manage entirely different subjects, lessons, and activities for each child. While grade-level instruction matters, this approach can make it hard for families to share meaningful learning experiences.

Spindlewing was created to offer another way.

Rather than building every lesson around a separate topic for each grade, Spindlewing starts with a common theme and develops learning opportunities that let children of different ages explore it at their own level.

A younger child might discover a concept through storytelling, illustrations, and hands-on activities, while an older student explores the same subject through research, critical thinking, writing, and independent projects.

Along the way, the family can come together to share discoveries, ask questions, and learn from one another.

The result is a learning experience that respects individual growth while celebrating the connections that make family education special.

What makes Spindlewing different is our approach to connecting family learning with individual academic development.

Our themed K–12 unit studies bring together multiple subject areas, including language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, through a shared topic of exploration.

Each theme is designed to provide:
